Summer Art Workshops for Children
Give your child the opportunity to explore, experiment, and grow in confidence through our inspiring summer art workshops. Designed for children aged 5–12 years, these sessions are led by experienced artists in a relaxed, supportive studio environment where creativity is encouraged and every child can thrive.
Across the workshops, children will explore a wide range of exciting materials and techniques — from expressive painting and playful experimental art to focused drawing and texture-based processes. Each session is carefully structured to balance fun, learning, and creative freedom, helping children build skills while enjoying the process of making art.
Whether your child joins us for a single session or a full creative day, they will leave with finished artwork, new techniques, and a real sense of achievement.
How our Sessions work
Morning
9:am - 12:00pm

Aimed at children aged 6–12 years
A fun, hands-on creative session where children explore different art techniques from start to finish.
We begin with a fun drawing challenge, encouraging children to get creative, think outside the box and build confidence in their drawing skills.
Next, we move on to painting on canvas, where the children are guided step-by-step to create their own artwork. Previous sessions have included colourful sunsets, beach scenes and Northern Lights, with children encouraged to add their own ideas and personal touches.
We finish the session with bubble painting, using bubbles and paint to create colourful, unusual patterns and textures. It’s a playful way to finish the day and gives every child another piece of artwork to take home.
The session is relaxed and supportive, with plenty of encouragement and freedom to experiment. Children will leave with their finished canvas, drawing challenge artwork and bubble artwork.

What to bring: A water bottle
What to wear: Please wear old clothes. Disposable aprons are provided, but sessions can still get messy!
An allergy questionnaire will be sent to parents prior to the session.
Full Day

Full-Day Art Session - Aimed at children aged 6–12 years
For children who would like to spend the whole day with us
For those who would like to make a full day of it, children can join us for our morning art session before enjoying lunch together.
After the morning session, we’ll have lunch together. If the weather is nice, we’ll sit outside in the shade and enjoy our packed lunches before heading back inside for the afternoon.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore some more creative techniques, including marble effect painting, before creating a larger board canvas. I plan a different artwork for each session, with examples including beaches, jungles, sunsets, Northern Lights and galaxy paintings.
If a child has joined us before, I’ll make sure they have something different to create, so they can try new techniques and take home a completely different piece of artwork each time.
If time allows, we’ll also have some free creative time, where children can draw or paint their own ideas.
It’s a relaxed and creative way to spend the day, with plenty of opportunity to try different techniques, make new artwork and enjoy being creative.

Summer Art Workshops
These workshops are run by Sarah a practising photographer and trained artist who is passionate about helping children discover their creativity in a relaxed and encouraging environment. With experience working with children of all abilities, the focus is always on building confidence, creativity, and enjoyment through hands-on making.
Every session is designed to be fun, supportive, and inspiring, giving children the freedom to explore new materials and ideas while being gently guided through creative techniques. The goal is simple: for every child to leave feeling proud of what they’ve created and excited about making art.
